(The Dragon Houses)
The Dragon Houses are some
of the oldest buildings in Europe.
Their existence dates back
to the 12th century BC.
They are scattered in the area
stretching from Styra to Karystos.
Of all the Dragon Houses worth mentioning separately is the drakospiti of Ochi as the most impressive and best known, which some describe as a miracle of architecture.
It is located half an hour south of Styra on the road to Karystos, on mount Ochi, at an altitude of 1399 meters.
